Induction week – 10 Oct 2020

As if by a miracle, my enrolment situation finally resolved itself on Tuesday. I landed head first in a big pile of administration and induction activities that should normally be spread across a good three weeks of a full-time student’s timetable. I’m supposed to be a part-time student so I certainly feel as if something just happened to me. I was determined to swallow this round of form-filling and orientation-video-watching whole, because I was very motivated to protect as much research time as possible. In no way did I want these issues to drag on beyond the end of the week, particularly because my busiest time of year is coming up, at least in theory (the COVID pandemic may have something to say about that). Consequently, I worked so hard on it that quite often, I almost forgot to breathe. I think I got it all done. All the most essential bits, anyway. I hope I did them properly.
